I became an art therapist in 2002 and have worked with a range of client groups. For well over a decade my work has been focused on children's needs.
I have experience working in schools with children whose behaviours demonstrate a level of distress and emotional need. I have also worked for Children's Services alongside Social Workers who are supporting families that have a child with a disability.
I am registered as a private practitioner with the British Association of Art Therapists and can therefore am able to offer private art therapy.
I completed a post graduate diploma in art therapy at Hertfordshire University (2002) followed by a masters research degree in advanced art therapy (2003).
I am registered with, and accountable to, the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and follow their code of ethics.
The Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) monitor and regulate the caring professions such as art therapy. I am a registered member of HCPC.

Who might I work with?• Children who have been through, or are going through, a hard time for various reasons. • Adults who find it difficult to communicate how they are feeling using words. • I also offer supervision for therapists from a variety of theoretical backgrounds. |
Am I the right person for your child? If you have a child that you are worried about, it can be really difficult to know what to do for the best.
I would be happy to have a chat on the phone about the support that I offer . Following that initial call if you feel it might be useful, we can arrange a meeting in which we will think in detail about your child and establish whether we feel that I may be of use. |
