Art Therapy for AdultsFor some adults who are struggling emotionally, finding a weekly opportunity to use art materials alongside an art therapist can bring helpful insights.
I have experience of working with teenagers and adults and if you feel that you might find the setting comfortable then please feel free to contact me and we can discuss your needs. Therapy would be held at a regular time and day on a weekly basis. |
Supervision for Therapists or CounsellorsI supervise therapists from a range of backgrounds. My aim in supervision is to create a supportive thinking space in which supervisor and supervisee can openly and honestly explore the therapist's work.
I believe that having art materials in the playful environment of a children’s setting offers a unique way to be curious about the therapist or counsellor’s work and is particularly beneficial when thinking about work with children. My intention is that the supervisee leaves the session feeling supported in their work whilst also feeling challenged in their thinking. I usually offer supervision on a monthly basis but this is negotiable dependent upon need. If you think that you may be interested then please make contact and we can discuss your situation. |
Testimonials
"I really appreciated my therapeutic journey with Katy - it was truly rich, and I was able to gather insightful nuggets from each of the sessions. Thank you for your depth of listening and openness, and your unique approach to exploration. I feel grateful to have shared these times as well as the opportunity to take my learnings onwards." C.K. Client
"I found Katy to be attuned and respectful, assisting me to get new perspectives in life. She has created a playful therapy room with a welcoming atmosphere displaying various art materials and objects that encouraged me to interact more spontaneously in the process" M. W. Client
"Katy was warm, approachable and open from the start, enabling me to be transparent during my supervision. I felt able to build a strong therapeutic relationship quickly with Katy, who listened and responded with care, empathy but also challenge. The process felt collaborative, built on mutual respect and regard, with the clients kept at the centre of our work. Katy was also able to help me explore other working opportunities and supported me through a change of employment and setting." J.D. - Therapist
"Before our art therapy session with Katy I didn't know what to expect. Within an hour, the experience was both transformative and poignant. I was amazed at the way art could be used to explore emotions, beliefs and help the group to feel more connected. There is certainly a vulnerability that comes through and Katy held the session in a special way. We are grateful to you for the colourful, highly recommended experience, a big thank you from Victoria's Promise."

"In my experience, Katy as a supervisor, offers the right balance of support and challenge. From the outset she was easy to talk to and always facilitated a really helpful supervision session. I also really liked that I could use creative methods to explore the work if I wanted to." D.M. - Therapist
"I really liked your supervision style and I felt you really provided us with a safe enough space for us to be honest, whilst also being honest yourself and helping us question our practice, decisions, wonder and sit with the ever-lasting not knowing." G.O. - Therapist
